I love my OCs so much I end up shipping them (Away from the story) and putting them in situations that would be silly over in the real stories, putting them in AUs, the complete fangirl package and I don't even have their full story done yet.
For some people, I think it's hard for them to make an OC not cliche! I've seen a lot of good stories with OCs in them and sometimes I've actually forgotten they weren't in the actual book, movie, ect.
Yes, this stamp is true seeing as my friend and I do this all the time

I never did understand girls/guys with OCs. In the time they used to make up this whole OC, their relationships, ect., the could have been out socializing...actually getting a boyfriend/girlfriend and not writing horrible lemons of OCxCannon pairings. Not to mention 97% of all of the plots and characters are horribly cliche. While all these fangirls are whacking off to fake characters they put with their horrible self inserts, I'm out having a REAL intimate relationship with a real guy. Now, are all OCs like this? No, not at all. But that's a majority of OCs to me. Not to criticize the stamp or anything, it's lovely and it looks like a request anyways. Just how I feel about OCs.
I understand how you feel, but perhaps you're only looking at it in one way? ^^ OC's are more than just characters to fantasize about. To me- they are what make my stories alive. They keep everything going. To be able to put so much emotion into a fictional character is amazing, in my opinion. It isn't smut- that's not what I use them for, at least. But I know some people who do. I use them to tell a story in their own way. Thank you for your comment!!
